SzeptEmber Feszt Budapest is one of the biggest gastro-cultural festivals in Budapest in September. It is probably the Hungarian capital’s most visited free gastronomical and cultural festivals running annually since September 2000.
SzeptEmber festival is a good opportunity to try some authentic traditional Hungarian foods and drinks, especially ‘stew’ (porkolt), as there is a serious stew competition with a growing number of participants year by year. On top of the food heaps and the approx. 15,000 litre beer drunk at the fest, there are over a 100 concerts on 4 stages, lots of handcrafts for sale, about 80,000 visitors and a lot of fun.
